Hey there Reader, I thought I had an oboe lesson today, but it got cancelled. Because in Scotland, we are in storm Éowyn right now. As I am writing this, streets are deserted, and the wind is so strong that birds are being blown about in the sky. It's very loud outside, but inside, I'm having a cozy day. But I gotta be honest with you, Reader. With an American oboe background, I have been playing the European style for about a month. (See my progress here!) And the rest of the oboes have been playing it all their lives. Seeing the other students be so incredible, the temptation to compare myself has sunk in....
